About the Museum
Malton Museum is Ryedale's major archaeological museum, located in the heart of Malton's market place and housed in an 18th Century butter market.
In addition to the renowned Roman collections the museum is also home to a social history collection relating to trade, local government, racing and other aspects of the town and surrounding area.
The museum features a semi-permanent exhibition space on the first floor that currently features the fascinating Wharram Percy: Life in a Medieval Village display.
