Lecture: Food for Thought: Two Centuries of Cooking and Eating in Ryedale with Peter Brears

Peter Brears, a Yorkshireman born and bred, was formerly Curator at Castle Museum, York, and Director of Leeds City Museums. He has worked with Malton Museum on a number of occasions, recently producing a recipe book. His vast knowledge of domestic artefacts and the periods and places in which they were used, together with his insight into the preparation and consumption of food through the ages, has made him one of our leading food historians.
