School’s out! Discover family friendly Malton Museum
What can families enjoy at Malton Museum this summer?
There’s plenty going on at Malton Museum to occupy children of all ages.
In addition to our exhibitions exploring life in Malton through the ages, families (and big kids!) can enjoy the following activities:
- dress up as a Roman soldier
- take part in trails – Lucius’ Family Trail for 4-6 year olds and Fido’s I Spy trail for older children
- get hands on at Roman crafts, including grinding corn and weaving a braid
- have a go at pot making, Medieval style.
This year’s exhibition, A Sense of Place: Trade & Industry shares how Malton was influenced by the many businesses established here. Our displays are enhanced with videos and digital content as well as oral histories.
Malton Museum is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 10:30 and 3:30 during the school holidays.
Admission costs just £3 for adults and kids go FREE! For more visiting information, see our Visit Us page.
