Charles Dickens’ Malton Town Tour

21 December 11:30

Book tickets now

Charles Dickens visited Malton a number of times in the 1840s, visiting his personal friends and relatives. Against a period of great change locally, Dickens drew inspiration for the characters, places and scenarios featured in his novels. This entertaining guided walk will look at what Malton was like at this time and share the people and places that inspired Dicken’s writing. We will see why Dickens has become an essential part of Christmas in Malton.
