First look at design proposals for a new Malton Museum

Join us at St Michael's Church, Malton at 10 am on Saturday 8 February

Malton Museum invites members of the public to join us on Saturday 8th February, 10am at St Michael’s Church, Market Place, Malton for a first look at early design proposals and re-visioning.

This is a unique opportunity for members of the public to join the Friends of Malton Museum in viewing early designs and images prepared by local architect Tom Brooksbank. The presentation will reveal details of a future building proposed as part of the re-imagined, re-location of the museum. Additionally, the results of the visioning exercise into which many residents and businesses contributed will be shared to provide an overview of how the museum might look and operate.

Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute their thoughts and ideas into the design process and assist with developing the proposal at an exciting and pivotal time for Malton Museum.

The volunteer led museum has already successfully completed a consultancy study (funded by North Yorkshire Council) which identified the former Fleece Pub as a preferred home and now the team are working in collaboration with the building’s owner, the Fitzwilliam Estate in developing this idea to move the proposal forwards.

Refreshments will be served.
